Biography

Maliki are a two-piece band hailing from London, UK, featuring pianist Filip Sowa and drummer Thomas Sunney. Drawing influences from the likes of BADBADNOTGOOD, Fela Kuti and Philip Glass, the band's music features melodic landscapes and propulsive drums. As well as composing as a duo, the band continues to develop their unique sound with a catalogue of some of London's most up and coming musicians.

Formed back in 2016, the project performed extensively in and around London for a number of years, before taking a short break. Maliki reformed in mid 2019 to start work on new material. Now in 2020, the band look set to release their first EP along with a series of single releases.
